How Can We Welcome the Lord’s Return in the Face of the Frequent Disasters?

By Anyuan, Philippines

Now the disasters are getting greater and there have been frequent earthquakes, famines and wars. In addition, from the end of 2019 to 2020, the new coronavirus emerging in Wuhan, China, has spread to many countries. Besides, from September 2019 to January 2020, the Australian bushfires destroyed thousands of buildings. In addition, dozens of people died and over a billion animals are reported to have been killed. Later, a 100-year heavy rain lashed Australia, causing flooding, power failures in some districts, and bushfire ash was washed into the rivers, which killed many freshwater creatures. In January 2020, torrential rains swept across Indonesia, so that tens of thousands of people became homeless. Furthermore, the four blood moons have appeared, and disasters have frequently occurred worldwide. These fulfill the prophecies of the return of the Lord Jesus, “And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, see, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood” (Revelation 6:12). “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows”(Matthew 24:7–8). Seeing the fulfillment of these prophecies, many brothers and sisters in the Lord raise such questions: Since the prophecies of the Lord’s return have been basically fulfilled, has the Lord come back? If so, why haven’t we welcomed the Lord? Where can we find the Lord’s footprints?

The Lord Has Come Secretly to Do His Judgment Work in the Last Days: What It Has to Do With Our Entry Into the Heavenly Kingdom

Question: The Lord’s promise is that He will come again to take us into the kingdom of heaven, and yet you testify that the Lord has already been incarnated to do the work of judgment in the last days. The Bible clearly prophesies that the Lord will descend with power and great glory on clouds. This is quite different from what you’ve testified, that the Lord has already been incarnated and secretly descended among men.

Can We Welcome the Lord by Clinging to the Prophecy of Him Coming in a Cloud?

Question: You bear witness that God has become flesh as the Son of man to do the work of judgment in the last days, and yet the majority of religious pastors and elders maintain that the Lord will return coming with clouds. They base this primarily on the Bible verses: “This same Jesus … shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven” (Act 1:11). “Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him” (Rev 1:7). And furthermore, the religious pastors and elders also teach us that any Lord Jesus who does not come with clouds is false and must be rejected. So, we’re not sure whether or not this view is in line with the Bible; is this kind of understanding correct or not?

The True Meaning of “Jesus Knocking on the Door”

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). This is a prophecy in the Book of Revelation which predicts that the Lord Jesus will knock on the door when He returns, and every true believer in the Lord longs to welcome the Lord soon. But how will the Lord Jesus knock on the door when He comes? When the Lord Jesus knocks on the door, what should we do to welcome Him? This is something everyone who believes in the Lord should ponder deeply.

What is the incarnation? What is the essence of the incarnation?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (Jhn 1:1).

“Jesus said to him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known Me, Philip? he that has seen Me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father? Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak to you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake” (Jhn 14:9–11).

I and My Father are one” (Jhn 10:30).

Discussion: How Will Jesus Christ Return in the Last Days?

By Lingling

At the co-worker meeting many different opinions were voiced.

Wenwen: Recently, many of the brothers and sisters have been exploring a very contentious issue: In the year 2000 the pastors and elders said that the Lord’s return was imminent, but now it’s 2018 and we haven’t seen it happen. But some people are saying that the Lord has in fact already returned, while others say that when the Lord returns everyone will see Him. There are so many different opinions about this. So, how on earth will the Lord return? What do you all think of this issue?

How to Pray So That God Hears Our Prayers

By Kally

Hello, brothers and sisters, have you heard this story? There was a theology student who was able to recite many pleasant-sounding words of prayer. Every day before meals he would come before the Lord and recite some words by heart, because he thought the Lord liked such prayers. And every time he finished praying he would put a walnut into a glass vase as a sign that he was loyal to the Lord. One night, he dreamed the Lord asked him to crack open the walnuts in the vase, and after he did so he found that each of them was empty.

What Does It Mean to Truly Pray?

By Cindy, United States

All believers in God know that praying is the only way through which our spirits can connect with God’s Spirit, and that we cannot practice our faith without it. However, many of us have no idea what true prayer is though we make prayers every day. Perhaps some people might say, “I pray to God every day. In the morning, I entrust the entire day to God in my prayer and express my wishes to Him, begging Him to lead me throughout the day; in the evening, I pray to God confessing my sins. Is it not truly praying to God?” Some say, “Every day I give thanks before meals and express thanks in everything. Am I not truly praying to God?” Still others may say, “In my prayer, I can recite many passages of the Bible, say many nice words and speak for a long time. Isn’t it a true prayer?” Indeed, there is no denying that all these above are prayers made to God, but are they true prayers?
