In real life, we often encounter something unpleasant, such as setbacks in our work, our bosses’ criticism, quarrels with our spouses, sudden disasters at home, or bad personal relationships.
How should Christians deal with adversity? Some people often complain and say, “O Lord, I believe in You and expend and sacrifice for You. So why don’t You protect me and my family?”
The Bible says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God” (Romans 8:28). Actually, the Lord allowing such environments to befall us isn’t to make us suffer, but to edify us. It depends on whether we are able to experience. I once complained about God because of my mother’s illness, but through the fellowship of my church brothers and sisters, I knew how to deal with adversity as a Christian. Below, I’d like to fellowship on three paths I’ve summarized; I hope they can be helpful to you.
