My father often said, “By believing in the Lord our sins are forgiven and we’re no longer sinful, and when the Lord comes, He’ll take us into the kingdom of heaven, for the Bible says, ‘For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation’ (Romans 10:10).” So for years I believed I was justified and saved by my faith and that I would get into heaven.
