How to Have Faith in God

By Shen Mingxin

What is faith? How to have faith in God? Many brothers and sisters in the Lord think that as long as they acknowledge God’s name, persist in reading the Bible, meeting and praying, and furthermore are able to sacrifice everything and labor, they are believers who have faith in God. But, this understanding is one-sided. In fact, true faith means that when our mind and body endure great suffering during refinement or adversity, we still don’t misunderstand or complain about God, but instead can obey God and persevere in believing in and following God.

Gospel Movie Clip (3) – To Study the Lord’s Return We Should Listen to the Voice of God

Basically all of the prophecies mentioned in the Bible pertaining to the Lord’s return have already come true. Most people have sensed that the Lord has already returned, so, how should we investigate this to make sure about the matter of whether or not Almighty God is the returned Lord Jesus? Should we make our judgment based on the prophecies of the Bible or should we directly investigate the word and work of Almighty God? How should we seize this extremely rare opportunity and greet the return of our Lord? Almighty God says, “What you ought to do is accept, without the need for further substantiation from the Bible, any work so long as it is that of the Holy Spirit, for you believe in God to follow God, not to investigate Him. You should not search out further proof for Me to show that I am your God. Rather, you ought to discern whether I am of benefit to you; that is the key“.

Bible Reading: Focusing on Jesus’ Return

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Whenever I read this verse, I am so touched in my heart, feeling that God loves us too much. At the same time, it reminds me that 2000 years ago, in order to redeem us from sin, God personally became flesh and came to earth. He is our Savior, Jesus Christ. He lived among us for thirty-three and a half years, and was nailed onto the cross in the end, completing the redemption of all mankind. The Lord Jesus became man’s sin offering and forgave all our sins, so that we are no longer condemned to death for breaking the law; we are able to come before God and pray to God, enjoy rich grace and blessings of the Lord. Plus, the Lord also gave us wonderful hopes—we will be raptured into the kingdom of heaven by Him and gain eternal life He has brought us when He comes again in the last days. This is God’s great love to us.

What Is an Overcomer? How to Be an Overcomer

By Ganxin

At the mention of overcomers, we will think of the prophecies in the Book of Revelation, “And I looked, and, see, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads” (Revelation 14:1), “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 7:14). Here, the 144,000 prophesied in the scripture are the overcomers whom God wishes to make. They are the ones who stand testimony during the great tribulation, and who are approved by God and qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven. Continue reading “What Is an Overcomer? How to Get Rid of Sin: I Found the Path

By Yu’en, South Korea
I trust every devout Christian is confused about the following: We pray to the Lord, and confess sins and repent every day, but why are we never able to escape the bondage of sin? As we all know, the Lord is holy, so are we, who often sin and resist Him, qualified to enter God’s kingdom? How can we shake off the shackles of sin? I always used to be perplexed by this too, but through seeking, I finally found the way to escape sin. Continue reading “How to Get Rid of Sin: I Found the Path”

The Wonderful Surprise That the Lord Has Returned and Is Doing the Work of Freeing People From Sin

Bound by Sin, I Worried About Whether I Could Enter the Heavenly Kingdom

“As girls, if you don’t know how to cook, in the future you will not even be able to make food for yourself. Come here and learn to cook!”

“Look at your messy room. Does it look like a girl’s room? Tidy it up right now!”

…………

I angrily said over and over again.

“Do I have to do as you said? Do I have to listen to you?” One of my daughters was not convinced, and said in a loud voice.

“I’m your mother. If my words are right, then you must listen. I’m doing all this for your own good!” I retorted angrily.

I am a Christian who has believed in the Lord for more than twenty years and has two daughters. In order to teach them to do household chores, whenever I had time I would ask them to learn from me how to cook and clean the house. But when I saw the look of irritation on their faces, I would lose my patience and start to get angry and scold them. I knew becoming hot-headed and losing my temper with others were not in accordance with the Lord’s intentions, but I just couldn’t control myself. Therefore, I often suffered because I felt I was living sinfully.

What Does “a Great Sound of a Trumpet” in the Bible Prophecy Mean?

By XiaochenIn the recent several gatherings, how to welcome the Lord’s return had been a hot topic. The Lord Jesus said, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:30–31). Everyone at the meeting had a different understanding of “a great sound of a trumpet” in this verse, and they started a heated discussion.

In the meeting, Brother Wang said with confidence, “The Lord Jesus told us that when He returns, a trumpet will sound in heaven to gather together His elect. When that happens, it means that we believers will be raptured. That day will be a joyful day. Now is the last days, and the Lord will come back soon. So, we should watchfully wait for His return.”
