3 Principles of Loving Your Brothers and Sisters in Christ

By YinziThe Bible says, “But the end of all things is at hand: be you therefore sober, and watch to prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:7–10). As servants of the Lord, we should do the church’s work well, help and support brothers and sisters, and finally bring them before God so that they can all obey and worship God—this is what the Lord has entrusted to us. So, how exactly should we support and help brothers and sisters to be in harmony with the Lord’s will? There are three principles that all of us need to enter into. Jesus Will Come Like a Thief in the Night: What Does This Mean?

How the Lord Will Come
Speaking of how the Lord will come in the last days, most brothers and sisters will go by the Bible verse: “[T]hey shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30), and believe that the Lord will definitely come in the clouds in His resurrected spiritual body with glory. But there are still some people who are perplexed about this statement, because Revelation prophesied, “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief” (Revelation 3:3). It was clearly predicted in these verses that the Lord Jesus will come like a thief. So to speak, He would come at a time unknown to people. If the Lord came in the clouds, wouldn’t everyone see Him? If so, how would the prophecy that the Lord Jesus will come like a thief be fulfilled? This is a mystery to many people. Now, let us have a fellowship on these problems, so that we can catch the true meaning of the Lord Jesus coming like a thief. Noah’s Days Have Come: Have You Entered the Ark?

By Chenhui, Singapore

As Christians, I believe that we are all deeply impressed with the story of Noah’s ark and admire Noah a lot, and that meanwhile we cannot help but feel sorry for those who did not embark upon the ark. Why did they not believe what Noah said? They had seen the ark but why did they not embark upon it? Why did they not feel regret until the flood came? Why, in that age, did only Noah’s family of eight embark upon the ark and attain salvation?

Thoughts of the Lord Jesus Behind “Five Loaves and Two Fish”

Find the Shepherd, Five Loaves and Two Fish

There is a record in the Bible, “One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, There is a lad here, which has five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? And Jesus saidMake the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, He said to his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten” (John 6:8-13).Every time I see this passage about how the Lord Jesus fed five thousand with just five loaves of bread and two fish, I feel so shocked and can confirm more deeply in my heart that the Lord Jesus is indeed the one true God who supplies all things, commands all things, and can bring something out of nothing. I am also sure that even if there was no food at that time, the Lord Jesus could still perform this miracle to feed these five thousand people, or even more, because nothing is impossible for God. The Lord Jesus’ wondrous deed has become the foundation of my belief in and pursuit of Him. Continue reading “Thoughts of the Lord Jesus Behind “Five Loaves and Two Fish””

Why Did the Lord Jesus Redeem Mankind Through Crucifixion?

By Xiaoqi

Since accepting the Lord Jesus’ gospel, I often heard the pastor expound this verse to us: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross, shed all His blood, and redeemed all mankind, so we can get a chance to come before God, be qualified to pray to Him, and enjoy the abundant grace and blessings He bestows on us. Every time thinking of the Lord’s selfless love for us, I would be greatly moved, feeling that the Lord endured so much humiliation and pain for saving us, and that He loves us so much. Besides being moved, I also had some confusion in my mind: Since God is almighty, there is nothing difficult for Him to accomplish. And He can change the heaven and earth tremendously with one word. Thus, He can save mankind from the influence of Satan with only one word. But why did He redeem mankind by the crucifixion? I felt very puzzled about it and also asked many brothers and sisters, and even the pastors and elders to resolve it, but none of them could give me an answer.

Christian Testimony Video “An Officer’s Repentance”

The main character in An Officer’s Repentance was once a simple farmer’s son. After joining the army, he quickly starts going along with the unwritten rules in his unit in an effort to obtain status, praise and promotions, fawning on and flattering his superiors, treating them to meals, and buying them gifts. He is promoted up the ladder to battalion commander and begins to walk the path of corruption. He turns over a new leaf after finding faith in God and leaves the army, only to find that he is still bound by Satan’s philosophies and laws. In order to become church leader, he once again uses underhanded means, but ends up being exposed and dealt with by the brothers and sisters. He’s left distressed and miserable for failing to get the position. Through the judgment and revelation of God’s words, he slowly comes to understand the essence and consequences of seeking status, and he begins to pursue the truth and walk the right path in life.

God’s Will Behind the Parable of Lost Sheep

By Qiu Hong

Whenever reading these lines of Scripture: “How think you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish” (Mat 18:12-14), I feel very moved in my heart. From these verses, I understood that God doesn’t want to have any of us be tempted by Satan and thus keep far from Him, indulge in the pursuit of money, fame and gain, covet worldly things and carnal pleasure, and no longer have any place for God in our hearts. Instead, He hopes that we can worship Him and live under His blessings and promise. For thousands of years, God has always been looking for those who worship Him and belong to Him, and at the same time redeeming those who believe in Him but are distant from Him. This is God’s eager will. God compared Himself to the shepherd, every true believer in Him the sheep, through which He told us that He won’t leave anyone as long as they are the sheep that belong to Him. In the past, I only had these understandings of this parable. Until one day when I saw the word of God on a gospel website I understood the profound meaning within it and gained a greater knowledge of God’s desire to save mankind.

Many brothers and sisters, who truly believe in the Lord and wait for His return, must have such questions: The Lord Jesus has said, “And, behold, I come quickly” (Revelation 22:12).
